Zombies Overrun Christmas with “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Zombies”

If there’s one problem with Christmas, is that same problem which plagues nearly every holiday – a sad and somewhat suspicious lack of zombies. Long relegated to Halloween (a silly holiday really), zombies are forced to share their holiday with pirates, ninjas, and worst of all, mimes. Thankfully, author Michael Spradlin is dragging zombies, kicking and moaning, from Halloween to Christmas with his jolly book of zombie Christmas carols, “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Zombies!”

zombie-book-beginning-look-lot-zombies“It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Zombies!” comes just in time for the Christmas holidays; shopping for zombies, as I’ve often bemoaned, can be a complicated and tricky endeavor. Look no further, then – a book of zombie Christmas carols may just be exactly what you’ve been looking for. Written to the tunes of Christmas classics you’ll cherish and remember (even, hopefully, post-zombification), Spradlin’s zombified Christmas carols will have you singing under your breath and scaring people in line at Starbucks.

Best of all, they’ll appeal to any recently zombified family or friends you may be hiding in your basement or small room under the stairs; zombies can have a tough time fitting in during the holidays and zombie-oriented books like “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Zombies!” can help to bridge that largest of gaps between the living and the undead.

With classics like “Rudolph the Zombie Reindeer,” “Here Comes Zombie Claus” and one of my favorites, “Deck the Halls with Parts of Wally,” you and your life-challenged loved ones can bond together over a shared love of the holidays and dismemberment, and perhaps a cup of cocoa. With thirty carols to choose from, you’d be wise to bring an instrumental Christmas CD with you for musical backup.

This Zombiephile’s only request – an audio version of “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Zombies!” It’d be nice to be able to put these zombie Christmas carols on the CD player while your family is decorating the tree and see how long it takes folks to notice.

For the impossible-to-shop-for zombie or zombie fan in your life, “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Zombies” is a great stocking stuffer – just make sure when these carolers come a’knocking you’re ready – with a shovel (editor’s note: or a baseball bat).

Spradlin’s got a website for It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Zombies, and for your viewing pleasure, here’s a funny youtube trailer for the zombie Christmas carols book:
