You know zombies have gone mainstream when they start showing up in animated kid’s movies. I’m willing to let it slip, though, since any good zombiephile will tell you that zombie preparedness is best instilled at a young age.
That’s why, despite the fact that I’m not a child anymore (at least, not technically), I’m still kinda stoked to catch ParaNorman, the upcoming animated zom-com featuring, among numerous others, the voices of John Goodman and that creepy kid from Let Me In.
In ParaNorman, a young, mysanthropic boy with a supernatural connection to the spirit world faces ghosts, ghouls, and zombies (well, obviously there are gonna be zombies) in an attempt to save his smalltown from a curse hundreds of years old.
Check out the ParaNorman trailer (featuring “Season of the Witch,” one of the greatest songs of the 60′s).
