Gas masks

I'm surprised no one has mentioned gas masks, or respirators along with saftey goggles to help protect the face/eyes and filter out that pesky zombie blood in the air. I own a respirator and safety goggles for just such purpose and all for less than fifty bucks. A cheap investment I say.

Good Point

I think Core is on to something here. I had never thought of infection from flying blood... but look at "28 Days/Weeks Later". That's quite another possibility. My mind was focused on just being bitten as the main factor of being infected. Gas masks it is!!!

you could even go more low budget and get the disposable painters masks, or a bandanna around your mouth and nose.
you dont need to go so high tech for this stuff

Masks

Good point bluewire. As long as we can cover our nose, mouth, and eyes, that should keep any potential spreading of the virus down to nill. I'm sure a lot of us wouldn't have access to the high tech stuff anyway.

screw gas masks, a bandanna and a paint ball mask. paint ball masks are made for visibility and combat, they protected your eyes from paint now they are protecting you from blood. Make sure you have the bandanna because anyone who has been paint balling knows that you will get a mouthful.

Gas mask is definitely a good idea, or at least SOMETHING to cover your entire face. It would be cool to have a full-blown bio suit, or something similar to really keep out all chance of infection.
