There are so many good ones. I think the North/South Korea is the creepiest.

Have you listened to the audiobook? It's abridged, but it's filled with awesome people reading it.

my favorite was Hope. That was purely awesome. I went and got some Iron Maiden (speaking of I'm listening to Trooper right now) Beautiful tactics and weapons, I live for weapons and tactics.

I just listened to the abridged audiobook, and I was definitely impressed, not only with the writing, but the vocal talents. They all did a great job. I think my favorite reader was Mark Hamill, and his section was fantastic as well. Reclaiming the country would be an arduous task, and I can't begin to imagine how people would get through it. I'll tell you it made me think about where I'd be. About who I'd be if I was one of the survivors they liberated. Would I be a LMOE? Would I crack and go feral? Maybe I'd just let down my guard and end up a Zed. I dunno, but it makes you think about your own mental stability. COULD you handle it? I mean if it really DID happen? I like to think I could. I like to think so. :?

I've taken a loooooooong hiatus from Zombiephiles, so this will be really old news, as I can see from the newer posts, but I finally bought and read this book about 2 months ago. Man, what a fantastic read!! I think my fave story was the one with the blind guy... oh man, I can't remember his name, but I believe he was of asian decent. He went into self exile and fought those zombies... man, he was totally awesome! And I have to admit, the story about the family who picked up the female hitch hiker from Winnipeg while heading into the mountains is another fave, really because I live in Winnipeg. Yep, Ol' Mr. Brooks had outdone himself with this book. I highly reccommend this read to anyone who loves zombies.
