Well, just out of curiosity, lets just say that while your fighting your way through the zombie hordes, you have an ipod playin in your ear.....
what would be the music to listen to?
well. i think the super heavy scary hardcore metal that so many people hate would do it. it takes the fear out of you, and puts you in your pissed off mood.

Best Zombie-Killing Music: Bach's Air on a G String
I've got to say, without question or hesitation, that Bach's "Air on a G String" would have to be my preferred zombie killing song. It's absolutely beautiful, very steady tempo, and the music definitely kind of captures what I think would be the intense bouquet of emotions inherent in a zombie attack.
But I don't know if that's what Bach would say about it.
Alternately I'd take Beethoven's 9th Symphony, 4th Movement - the "Ode to Joy" that they're featuring in the commercials for Live Free, Die Hard. I've just always been a lover of classical music and bashing skulls ever since A Clockwork Orange.

Zombie Bashin' Music
I think both of you guys have it right! I think heavy metal music would definitely pump up your adrenaline, while classic music has it's perks too. I have the perfect song, except that I can't remember what it's called! It's classical, and was featured on the Rickard's Red commercials a while back... oh wait. Do you guys have Rickard's Red beer in the States? Dang, I don't recall if it's a Candadian beer, or it's everywhere. The song though is perfect... if I can just remember the title. I will have to do some research, and let you guys know what song it is.

I'm kinda partial to Sergei Rachmaninov for his classical work. Some of Bach's work is also VERY heavy. That's what I'd want to listen to while blowing heads off of zombies. ABSOLUTLEY!!!

Re: zombie hacking music choice
i would definately have to say that i would listen to some very heavy death metal
iron maiden would be a great choice also but if i had the chance to put together a hack n bash mix b4 the total onslaught of the dead i would definately make it a sick mix of hardcore, death metal and a lil relaxing oldies in too for after the mayhem.
by the way bodies is from drowning pool.

none, If you are listening to music you basically get rid of one of the best senses you can possibly have. Be alert, be ready, and above all make sure you can hear the zombie sneaking up from behind you.
