Fist Full of Boomstick

Postby Ash » Tue Jun 05, 2007 4:19 pm

Did anyone play that Army of Darkness game, Fist Full of Boomstick? I didn't play it myself, but one of my friends did...I guess the game's pretty fun at first but ultimately gets repetitive...

I think that's always going to be a problem with zombie videogames - that's why games like Resident Evil always had to change it up by adding zombie dogs and crap like that.

Still, though, you've got to love any game where Bruce Campbell does the voice acting...that guy's absolutely amazing! He has to be the best A-movie star masquerading as a B-movie star that I've ever seen.

but i got better things to do than play video games constantly

That's Dead Rising. I've heard really good things about it, but I don't have a 360, so I haven't been able to try it. I keep hoping it'll be on display at my local Gamestop or something. Can't wait to see how it is.

Dead Rising et al.

Postby zombiephile » Fri Jun 22, 2007 7:37 pm

I've seen Dead Rising, but I haven't played it myself...my complaint about the game, without having played it, though, would be this:

I don't want zombies in a shopping mall...I want a full-on, open-ended post-apocalyptic zombie wasteland!

And on that note, Fallout 3 is going to be coming out soon...and I'm SURE that some Zombie lovers out there could put together some kind of a Mod...

Zombie Games

Oh dude, sweet! Dead Rising! I would love to play that game, but alas, I too, do not own a 360 as of yet. But I will, someday, I will! I know that this is old school already, but I still enjoy popping this game in once and a while - Resident Evil 4. I know you don't actually fight zombies in this one, but dang, if it isn't as creepy! I am excitedly awaiting Rez 5.

I've also seen, and will soon be purchasing some zombie board games. One game is simply called "Zombies!", and there are a couple of others. One game pits you in the classic shopping mall, where you control some survivors, and have to decide whom to sacrifice in your group to buy the rest some time to make it to different locations and what not. There's another game which has a town setting, where you have to loot your neighbor's homes for supplies and weapons, and such. They sound really great, and once I accquire them, I will be sure to let everyone know how they play.

Resident Evil 4

Wookiejuice totally called it -Resident Evil 4 might, in fact, be one of the best zombie videogames out there. I know a lot of people complain about the fact that the zombies speak, use weapons, etc, but despite all of those things, it still manages to convey a "zombie feel" - they're shambling at you, they're biting you, and you're trying to blow their heads off.

The Nintendo Wii version of Resident Evil 4 was, by the way, the best Wii game I've played so far - and I've played almost all of them.

If you want practice killing zombies, get Resident Evil 4 for the Nintendo Wii!

my friend got punched out by his mom because of that. They were in walmart and his dad turned to her and said "you want a fist full of boomstick" joking around and she goes "maybe later" also jokingly. My friend who was not paying attention sees what was at the time new fable, the lost chapters and says gigidy goo alllriiight. His mom punched him in the arm so hard he fell down.
