Makeshift Weapons

Anyone else out there constantly looking around and wondering what you'd use for a makeshift weapon if zombies came crashing through the door that very instant?

I do that. Does that make me crazy?

Seriously, though - your house is full of things you can use to kill zombies in a pinch. I'm a big fan of the rolling pin in the kitchen - an underused implement these days, but highly effective as a bludgeoning implement.

Seriously, I know I'm not the only one out there who thinks like this.

I do that all the time too- I'd take the neck off of my bass guitar and sharpen the tuning knobs.
And consider: Take apart a pair of scissors, and Ta-da! Two oddly-shaped knives!

I do this myself. You can't be too prepared. I'm always looking at everyday items and trying them out in my mind. A shovel here, a discarded piece of rebar there...anything is a weapon if you are prepared to use it. I just try to keep my eyes peeled and always have a scenario, I don't care if I'm at Starbuck's waiting on coffee...Hmmm....*eyes insulated mug*

Sometimes when I walk down the street I look at things on the ground and consider their use.

LOL! I most certainly do this as well. Not only do I look for makeshift weapons, I'm also planning out where I'd go, and what I'd do, if the outbreak were to suddenly happen. Cadaver said it right, you can't be too prepared!

I was really freaking out when I went to Newport. Lots and lots of tourists. I was one of them and miles from any safe-zone I knew.

I have that exact same experience every time I walk down the street. I live in Beijing, China, and this country is absolutely full of potential zombies and potential weapons to beat them to death with. I spend pretty much 30% of my conscious attention looking around the rooms and streets I'm in, planning out what objects I'd use as zombie-killing weapons, and which way I'd run if a swarm came from a particular direction, and so on.

Maybe that makes me crazy. But it definitely makes me a Zombiephile.

Anything blunt would certainly do the trick.
