New Zombie MMO, Exanimus
From our friends at Revenant comes word of a new zombie MMO game. Exanimus is an online 3D massively multiplayer online game created in a world where the dead live and roam the earth, attacking the surviving living. While most of the world is dead, there are small pockets of survivors that exist in barricaded cities scattered across the planet. Players of Exanimus will have the option of playing as a living survivor or as one of the dead roaming the earth. Exanimus will allow players to experience a new type of MMO based on the horror genre. Exanimus will feature challenging game play and visually "intense" environments. Currently Exanimus is in development by the Rotten Corpse team of TMSGames.
FEATURES
Based on the Horror Genre breaking away from traditional Sci-Fi / Fantasy MMO's.
Ability for players to fight for survival as a human or join the ranks of the dead.
Large urban and rural areas for players to discover.
New crafting and economy system.

Re: New Zombie MMO, Exanimus
This game sounds great - if they can pull it off. I'm a little bit curious about being able to control one of the living dead...doesn't that kind of go against the whole concept of the zombie as humanity without control?
I don't know. Personally, I'd much rather play as one of the survivors than as one of the zombies...
I remember there was a mod for a Resident Evil title a few years back where you got to play as a survivor until you died, and then for the rest of the round you got to run around, trying to bite your friends and turn them over to your side. That sounded pretty fun...
