I'm surprised no one has mentioned gas masks, or respirators along with saftey goggles to help protect the face/eyes and filter out that pesky zombie blood in the air. I own a respirator and safety goggles for just such purpose and all for less than fifty bucks. A cheap investment I say.

I was reading Cadaver's post about the kitchen gloves being used against and I just thought, y'know, it's high time someone did a piece on zombie personal defense.

Here's a thought. Based on many of the movies out there, Zombies seem to be capable of biting/clawing through most clothing. I know that Kevlar exhibits a high tensile strength when woven and provides excellent protection from high velocity projectiles, but I am wondering if a full suit of woven Kevlar might protect in those near miss situations that always seem to be occurring. The best head protection is a skateboarding helmet, giving you good amount of protection, without blocking you're vision.
