Actually, I visualized more of a docudrama style similar to the wonder movie Touching the Void from the UK. In that movie there are real people interviewed who recount their experiences which are then re-enacted in a very cinematic way. The only way I could do it was by replacing Brooks' interview process with a documentary film team. Almost like a PBS special or something...every once in a while showing clips from the war that was caught on film...I'm not sure how interesting that would be...but, heck, I'd watch it.
