Earning the “Weatherman” achievement in Left 4 Dead 2 is a simple process; you just have to survive the entire Hard Rain campaign and make it onto the rescue boat during the Finale and you’ll get the L4D2 achievement.
Since Left 4 Dead 2 is is reported to have a bug where players who join a campaign already in progress don’t earn campaign completion achievements, it’s probably best that you start your own Hard Rain lobby, host a game locally or just play through the entire campaign on Single Player mode to guarantee that you get the Weatherman achievement.
