Is “Fido” 2007’s Best Zombie Movie?
Just when it looked like the recent wave of zombie mania had crested, out of left field (Canada) comes Fido,, a delightful romp through a post-apocalyptic 1950’s Americana – with zombies. The story of a boy and his Zombie, Fido’s premise is simple: humans, having survived a “zombie war” during the past decade, have proved the victors, and have learned to domesticate zombies, transforming them from flesh-eating zombie monsters to passive zombie slaves. One of the most socially relevant zombie movies since George Romero’s original 1978 Dawn of the Dead, Fido is a witty jab at racism, materialism, and the hedonism of modern day-to-day life.
My Favorite (and only) Zombie T Shirt
Zombie T-shirts are in right now, as the craze with zombies grows to unprecedented proportions. This T shirt is probably my favorite (and currently, only) zombie T-shirt – but I couldn’t recommend it more, as zombie T-shirts go.

So I just saw this zombie sketch piece from the British show “The Day Today” (very much like “The Daily Show” here in the States). You’ve got to give some props up to Chris Morris and “The Day Today” – Leave it to the British to bring zombies into our homes in a serious, relevant way.

Let’s face it – Zombie Defense is getting popular these days. An ocean of Zombie Survival and Zombie Defense Guides have popped up, this one included, telling people what they should do during an outbreak of zombies. Everybody’s got a Zombie T Shirt. Thing is, nobody’s talking about what people shouldn’t do during a zombie outbreak.
